Welcome to Some Good Cuppa
A few words about us
Hello there
‘Some good’ is a favourite way in Orkney, of describing something that is really quite excellent. And this is always our wish for you, that you will love your cuppa and the treat that you choose, and enjoy your time with us, whether it’s only once or as a regular customer.
You will find our trailer, Bonnie, at the Sea Cadets’ carpark, Scapa overlooking the beautiful Scapa Beach, within walking distance or a few minutes drive from Kirkwall town. We are on the St Magnus Way pilgrimage route and a popular beach for weather watchers, sea swimmers, families and dog walkers.
Our small family business serves specialty coffee, tea and hot chocolate, along with fresh bakes made in our home kitchen, all to take away. Be sure to try our signature carrot cake!
As a ‘Small and Local’ member of Orkney Food & Drink, we are surrounded by excellent food and drink providers and love the opportunity to use locally sourced ingredients in our cooking and baking.
Our takeaway cups from Decent Packaging are home compostable and recyclable to minimise landfill waste but we will be delighted to fill your own travel cup at a discount.
Scapa beach is a popular place to stop by, for locals and visitors all year round. Despite the occasional bad weather day, we are open for most of the year from March until the first week in January. See below for our updated opening hours.
We look forward to meeting you at the beach, see you soon!

Tea Champion
Matcha

Japan. By Jenier
The sun came out and Matcha is back as a favourite with our customers! Matcha is a finely ground green tea, which is fully consumed within the drink, rather than tea leaves that are brewed and removed before drinking. Packed with anti-oxidents and with a high proportion of caffeine, matcha can be enjoyed as a green tea, latte or iced latte. Depending on your preference you can sweeten it with sugar, honey or a flavoured syrup.
Served as a tea, latte or iced latte by Some Good Cuppa.

Some Good Cuppa Ruby Raspberry Hot Chocolate
A sellout weekend special for a few weeks now, our Ruby Raspberry Hot Chocolate is made of ruby hot chocolate, flavoured with raspberry and topped with cream and freeze-dried raspberries. It’s creamy with the sweetness perfectly balanced by the tartness of the dried raspberry.
Look out for our seasonal specials, advertised on our social media and at the van in the coming weeks!
